About Christine
Christine Gregory is a photographer currently living in Newport News, Virginia. Her main focus is portraiture but she does some product photography as well. She studied photography and graphic design at Thomas Nelson Community College.
Christine is a mom to four children ages 4, 7, 16, and 19.
Christine grew up around photography. Her father was, still is, a photographer and even had a color dark room in the house when she was a child. She always loved beautiful photographs, but never thought she would be a photographer herself.
She was previously studying Nursing at Thomas Nelson Community College and decided to take a photography class as an elective, just for fun. That one class changed everything, and she found that she was better at it than she expected. She decided to change her major to photography and has been very happy with her decision. She hopes to have a career doing weddings and family photographs. Her passion is capturing real emotion and special moments for families and couples.

“I love to photograph people, but more specifically I like to capture a connection between two or more people. It is my goal when I am shooting to either tell a story, or at the very least convey some real genuine emotion. I like to get my subjects connecting with each other rather than just staring into the camera smiling.
I prefer capturing organic emotions and situations, rather than posed set-ups. When shooting a wedding or an event, I love to capture real moments. My goal is to be unobtrusive and shoot what is really going on instead of staging photos, or asking people to group together and smile. My style is a little more documentary than posed or contrived. ”
